zee decided ON HER OWN to stop wearing diaper/pull ups this am and be a big girl! She peed in the big potty once, and so we went to dollar store to get her stickers and m&m's :) Only prob is with the travel to PA, I know it'll set her back as it did w/Konor traveling too close to having just starting to learn. I may just pack extra, extra and set her on potty often along the way. I found those disposable changing pads work great on the car seats so don't have to change entire cover, etc..

Well today we actually went w/o the tv for the entire day..ok, well until I sent them up for bed for 30 min sleep timer.
The weather was warm, but is cooler in the square and was much less humid and very tolerable for a change. Kids went to gymnastics in the am and then we played for a few hrs.. then ate, then drove around and then I washed my van again and vacuumed the inside..again. I moved Konor's booster to the very back row and he loved it..zee kept calling out for him and and said she missed him.. BUT they didn't hit ea other cos couldn't and didn't fight.. so will try this for he nxt week or so and see how it goes.
Does make life simplier if I were to pick up someone and another ..but now kinda too late as both girls have thier own cars now.
Neighbor came by for a few hrs later today too. back from vacation and simply said, yes, was cut short, don't even ask.. hmmm, could it be that someone else has shitty luck too??
I know her family is in MS and well...I'll just leave it at that.
anyways..all the kids played together.. anna kept picking on zee, and I finally caught her.. what a brat, she was saying "no" and that "no it won't work, or no she can't have.." JUST to make her cry.. then caught her telling her lil bro to say stuff to her too.. FINALLY I said Anna! Zily is lil yes, but she looks up to you as a friend..why would you want to make her cry on purpose.??
Ugh..kids..
so not ready for more drama again...
Funny sorta tho, later. They were to be leaving and Trace wanted back on hammock and I said your momma said no, you had to leave in a min.. and well he hopped on and I was like, ok, hurry, just a few swings.. then mom/celeste turned around...TRACE! ONE..... and he hopped off, LOL....
I think seeing that is why the one two three thing works w/Konor too...
Now zilya, she is plain mean right now, hits/punches and REFUSES to say sorry. she is driving me crazy most times, but others she comes and asks for hugs.. b/c I gave up on the 'carry, carry' me crap and said I won't carry you, but will give you hugs. that worked. and so I have to give hugs more now but that I deff don't mind and say that, so they know..mommy LOVES hugs
Anyway,....turned out a boring nite after all. .Had Rach come home by 8pm and well was ironing todds clothes.. and then tried to head to chophouse and see george as he only bartends one day week..was too crowded and was 'yelled' at b/c couple that was in front of us got in b4us..cos we were 'late' oh cos i finished pressing his pants for trip tomorrow..hmm..whatever, so we turned around and walked seperate ways home.. then he is back up there an hour later...and tho they close at ten, it is after and I don't hear the phone ring.
I swear he likes to get me mad right before leaving..does all the time...don't mind right now as watching a cool show on hdtv and hanging w/rachel and doing other crap online.. still...ohwell..
thinking bed in a few hrs anyway...
Oh, went to that music school place.. a no go, wayy to xian and my dd was a lil terd while there.
I found this place that doesn't start till K :
http://www.arsnovahsv.com/
all the way thru adulthood :)
And martial arts doesn't start until age four either..
as does ballet
Ok, so maybe I want too much for the kids..still, why not try, if not like, they can quit. I just know that they won't be great athetes in basketball or volleyball, etc.. so why not start out in things diff that they are more capable of?

Lady Bird Johnson Dead at 94
Lady Bird Johnson, photographed in 2002
July 11, 2007
From NewsChannel 19:
A family spokesperson says former first lady Lady Bird Johnson has died. She was 94 years old.
Mrs. Johnson returned home to Austin, Texas late last month after a week in the hospital, where she had been admitted for a low-grade fever. Her husband, President Lyndon Johnson, died in 1973.
===================================================
Anyways... this weather here has been just crazy. From major drought...losing cotton and corn crops. They switched to corn a lot this season for the biofuel...
and burn ban to feel like we're living in florida. It has rained just about every single day the last few weeks. It was never enough to soak the earth..until recently. It is amazing to see green the parks are again, and even the regrowth of flower and such. Almost looks like spring if it weren't sooo humid and hot. I feel like I'm opening a dryer when I walk out into the square.
Tonight, for about a half hour, I put the kids in rain gear and let them splash about out front as there was no lightening going on. They had fun and I took pics of course but don't think any turned out well. My lens got all fogged/steamed up from the extreme temp change.. oh well.
Well finally got one step closer to organizing all the boxes of pictures I had loose since we moved in here. I now need to buy each of the lil ones a new photo album and put theirs in those. And fill the other big album up w/our photos. And then I need frames/mattes for a few others. I did manage to find a few of Kyla I hadn't seen in ages. Even more eerie was an envelope that had a friend of ours name on it. I thought odd, so opened and it was pictures of the memorial service we held for Kyla. Kinda hokey now looking at it as that wasn't her urn up there.. oh well. even weirder was seeing how thin I was then and how heavy friend was...boy, that flip flopped around... well at least since the last time I saw her...she too was quitting smoking, so who knows, she could have put the weight back on too. It was weird to see self, half smiling singing kareoke....oh well...i don't even remember those days months following it.
In other news.. nothing special going on. Just life..trying to figure out house phone bill and cell bills. I tried to add me to cell/family plan and its a pain in my arse..
It has taken weeks to even get on the website..it would always say account was locked and when I'd try live chat, that was messed up too. so, I have online account..but is weird cos att was cingular, and I have att long distance on house phone, but that is a different account.. nuts. plus bellsouth screwed me over in saying that I was to receive a hundred dollars rebate/reward check about a month after service started.. I never got it and no record of them promising it to me errrr. was to be because I was a 'new' customer. I had Knology phone.cable/internet for ten yrs and sure enough, no service here.. Only mediacom and comcast and neither of those does home phones. I know, why am I like the last on the planet to have a home phone? well, b/c is still cheaper and I'm home more than away. When I get this new cell, hoping nxt tues....at latest.. i'll be sharing mins w/sarah...but you can log onto site and see who is using what mins from which phone.
she says they are moving out.. great, good luck...
but tech, don't think she can till nineteen in state of alabama.. it's weird i know.
at that point she will probably have to get on her own car insurance, medical...and own phone.. cos there is no way daddy is going to pay for lee to drive/ wreck her car again..
ok, nuff about that...
daddy is leaving soon again..for about a week...gonna be hard on konor again. zee has taken his travels pretty well tho.
I think he'll be back by kyla's 'would be' birthday, and KC's half bday. So, thinking of doing something special this year as he finally understands what has happened to her.. That she died, drown and is not coming back, and is his big sister, etc.....

Huntsville Olde Towne Brewery up in flames!
Late last nite, we had heard fireworks really close, in the same direction of the brewery. Both of us were a lil perturbed that someone in the city was setting off fireworks in city, and when we still have a drought. I've not read all the articles yet, but I'm pretty certain it had to do w/fireworks.
This is right across the street from our buildings. Only there is a large parking lot between us. I never heard sirens last nite, but then again we always do, so wouldn't have noticed. Only today did I see all the cars, news, trucks, etc
I drive up this street several times a day, and esp when I take Konor to school. Only today I was lazy in getting out of the house.
My sisters husband, Greg know the owners and brewer as he home brews beer. Huntsville was to be in a contest later this month in Nashville w/many others all over US, but mostly southeast. Bummer, not anymore.
I'm also mad that there is now going to be an even longer wait for all those suites, places that were down under the street to open as bars, cafe's etc :(
sucks...

Fire destroys Huntsville's brewery
Check All | Clear All
Crews are on the scene of a fire that gutted a micobrewery in downtown Huntsville today.
It happened at the Olde Towne Brewery at around 2:30 a.m. on Holmes Avenue.
It took more than two hours to bring it under control.
There were no injuries.
The building was declared a total loss and now investigators will try to determine what sparked the fire.
The brewery had been open since August 2004.
Olde Towne's Owners Reflect on Brewery Fire
July 5, 2007
NewsChannel 19's Amber Stuart Reporting:
Fire shot from the roof of the Olde Towne Brewing Company at 2:30 Thursday morning. Business owners got a frantic call, a few hours later.
"Don Allan Hankins, who is our brew master, called me at home and said 'the brewery is on fire,'" said Howard Miller, owner of Olde Towne Brewing Company. "So, we jumped out of bed and turned on the news and saw it. That's the first that we knew that this had occurred."
Miller says his thoughts turned next to his three full-time employees.
"Fortunately, it was a non-work day and nobody was in the building," said Miller. "So, we were quite confident everything was safe. Then, you wonder what happened and what are we going to do about this and I don't know the answer to any of those questions."
For now, nearby businesses like Humphrey's Bar and Grill are offering moral support.
"We like them as friends," said Scott Harriman, Director of Operations of Washington Square.
Humphrey's was the first business to sell Olde Towne's beer.
"We've been their biggest seller of Olde Towne Beer in the city, pretty much since their inception," said Harriman.
That's why they're feeding lunch and Olde Towne beer to Olde Towne employees.
"We'll do whatever we can for them," said Harriman. "We look forward to getting their product back on the shelves and as soon as they do we'll promote it and do whatever they need us to do."
Until then, business owners are trying to keep their spirits high.
"It's just a building," said Miller. "It's the livelihood for three people. They've put a lot of effort and soul and time into this place. We'll come back."
Business owners say right now, they are considering contracting out brewing their beer get back on their feet. The good news is, Olde Towne is insured.
Pauli's Chophouse has just one beer on tap, which is Olde Towne beer. They say they have a few kegs on standby. The restaurant says it will just have to get another beer for the time being.
Oh, and the cat I always say inside there died...
they also held a church group there weeekly..lol..

this sucks that we can't even walk over there, and the local news is STILL reporting....mad sarah didn't wake us up, at least this am..

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Yesterday we went to my sisters for some food and hung out on patio. Her two neighbors came and another person. There were a few other 3yo boys for the kids to play with. I'll put up pics later. Daddy drove them in the Jeep, so they enjoyed that of course.
Rachel drove me, so daddy left around dark time (9pm?)and I stayed and hung out w/sis,hubby, and other neighbor who is also from PA and has the same rye humor as Todd. :)
Left there around 11pm and we stopped off at Sonic so rach could get a bite to eat, came home and just crashed.
Had plans to go out to Point Mallard in Decatur, but that would make it a LOOONG day as it is pretty far. The kids would be up way late again. We'd have to pack and drag a cooler, stroller, etc and eat freaking hot dogs/burgers ...again..... They do have the pageant there that is the prelim for Miss Alabama, but.... And the fireworks off the river are pretty decent for N. AL...The year I was pg w/Konor I got to see 3rd Eye Blind really close, that was really cool. I don't know who they have this year.
Anyway, we just decided against it. Zily is still too young to deal w/an all day thing like that. Going to the park here is no biggy cos w e can just come home for a bit. Like I did w/the BBQ. Since Todd has attended the WORLDS LARGEST FAIR, this doesn't even come close to that, so it's always a dissapointment for him. Though I think 10,000 people or more is plenty, that doesn't even include the ones at the water park. I heard they 30k on opening day! Insane!
Guess just gonna sit outside van and watch fireworks from the stadium...
Not even drinking today,lol....
Just not feeling very patriotic these days...
Well Todd's gumbo w/andouille sausage and chicken is almost done. Waiting on the corn bread and white rice.....YUMMMMYComments:Add a comment:
