Nite 3~~ So far so good, been a half hour and not a peep from Konor :)
Oh, we've been practicing jumping, and he just could not get both feet off the ground. I was told by friends and the gymnastics instructor that some kids just don't until closer to age 3. Well, He did it! He jumped several times and once he did 3 in a row! We worked on a few other 'moves' as well. I'm SOO proud of him!
We have class in the am, and I discussed it with him at bedtime. He repeated back to me, "jumping, in morning, bye bye, car" LOL.. what a hoot he is...Comments:Add a comment:

Nite 2 in resleep training Konor. Lately he has taken to refusing to stay in bed and whining at door down the steps to us.
I got out my trusty 'bible' lol, Dr. W's book, "Healthy Sleep Habits,Happy Child" Last night I incorporated the 'silent return to sleep' method. I sat at the top of the steps and just waited for him to get out of bed. Everytime I opened the door, he'd run back to bed. I never said a word to him. Where as previously I would get stern, but it was still giving him attention. It was 27 trips!
Oh, also I made a list of "Konor's sleep rules" and hung a caledar in room also. He'll get a star on calendar in morning if he stayed in bed all night.
Also, going to be consistant w/bedtime routines: brush teeth, read one story, cuddle, bed. I showed him 'the rules' that are hung by the celestial lamp and read to him, and he is 'getting it' Also, tonite, i brought a kitchen timer with me for sound stimuli. When the buzzer goes off, day is done and mommy no longer talks.
Tonight---one time out of bed, and that was b/c he didn't want to listen to 'new' CD (relaxation piano w/ocean waves) but rather pressed the 1 button on stereo..where the oldies channel is! HA ha!
From what I read, nites 3,4 maybe worse before getting better as he may try to 'test' me. We shall see.Comments:Add a comment:

Konor had his 1st gymnastics class this morning. It is 30mins each week. There were 3 other kids in the class. 2 were 3yo, and one was 2yo. NOt sure on exact ages tho. The instructor/teacher is really nice. I want to say her name is miss nicole, but I'm uncertain.
Konor had a blast. He would kinda wander to play on something else, but was easy to get back on track. He tried everything. He still can't jump yet, but has fun trying. He really loved the trampoline, and actually hung onto the bar and swung 3 times! It is a fairly new class so he really isn't that far behind. I think he'll get the hang of it eventually. I look fwd to doing this once a week with just him, Sarah is taking care of Zily for an hour while I'm gone.Comments:Add a comment:

Baby Personality Quiz
What can you expect for your baby? He will be very dependable and responsible; the type that likes to make his parents proud. You can expect him to be able to handle stress and pressure well. He will not be the one you have to worry about. He is sensitive, friendly and caring. He doesn't like to stand out or draw attention. He is not likely to take a leadership position. He prefers to be the one that works in the background. In his attempt to be likable, he may cave in to peer pressure in his teens. However, he is not rebellious and cares about making his parents happy as much as he does his friends.
As an adult, he will likely go to college and pursue a stable job. He is not the type that will flip flop around in his career choices. He will pick something he thinks he will do well at and stick with it. Possible careers are laboratory technician, computer programmer, physical therapist, or mechanic/machinist, or join the armed forces.Comments:Add a comment:

Ugh, what a night! Yesterday was so wonderful. Todd n I got Pizza Hut pizza and had a picnic at Big Spring Park. Konor had a blast chasing the ducks and playing with sticks. He was exhausted, so put him down for a siesta around 2pm. At 4pm went to go get him and his cheeks were bright red and he was burning up! 103.1
Gave him some motrin, and he acted better...tho didn't really eat supper. I put him to bed at normal time and when I went to get ready for bed around 12am, I heard him moaning. Again, burning up! 104!
I called the dr who called back moments later. Asked if he had any other symptoms of cold, runny nose, cough, etc. I had said no. So, he told me that he needs to go to the Ped ER.. UGH...
I don't even tell Todd, but do Sarah so she can tell him if he woke up...
There were 2 others in front of us..but they took us pretty quick b/c his fever was pretty high. I had already given him more motrin, so we waited to see if that would bring fever down any more. He was also given some water thru a straw to sip on, and was tested for strep, flu, who knows what else...then, we waited.. I crawled up on the lil bed and fell asleep, but konor didn't, lol..just lay there patiently w/his lovey..pillow.
Finally they came back and said he has the flu! Argh! During our stay, his nose really began to run and dr said his glands were swollen as well. :( Poor guy,,, it seems he's been sick a lot this winter.
So, now of course I have to worry about Zily as well.. ugh. And, they've both had flu shots...which apparently from what I read at pharmacist, do nothing!
So, I'm up on 2.5hrs sleep, Todd at work, ZZ eating breakfast and Konor is still sleeping.
Hopefully this isn't a bad puking kind of flu...so not ready for that.. lol...
Oh, the worst part was being walked by 'that area' where they had Kyla when 1st brought in by ambulance! I almost had a panic attack walking by it..had some flashbacks.. ugh...
Anyway, if ya could, keep my lil ones in your thoughts that they stay healthy/get better quick!.
well konor awake, still 102 fever, and threw up his juice/water..ugh..Comments:Add a comment:
