what a beautiful day. Getting better sleep last nite helped too. we spent like 3 hours out. didn't take long for blood wook to get done. And spent like the entire amount todd gave me and still need a few things. I did get 2 frames that hold three pics and put my pg belly shots in them to hang in zily's room. Got a cute shirt and some make-up/hair stuff for step dd and some cup cakes. dh is taking her to a place called world conspiricy to blow like $50. It's like a punk skater shop since she is into skateboarding now.
konor is FINALLY down for a nap.
Lady actually came and picked up freecycle and told me that sat there is kidskloset..but not sure I'll go.. but would like to.. find some summer/ shorts for kc...
Oh, Konor is cutting toofer #2

Sent a plant up earlier this am.

Yesterday had torrential downpours/hail...you name it.. tree fell on power lines and were w/o power from 2pm-8:30 pm.. I got online briefly to send flowers/plant and power went off again momentarily... Sucked.. Cool thing was that Todd went out to get dinner and got LJS Long John Silvers! I haven't had it in yrs as there arent any near here! Well they just built one w/an A&W next to walmart! Tree cutters still here, our side of drive and backyard is a MESS now.. But hey it is sunny again.. 60 Just got back from OB. My glycohemoblobin test came back good, 5 which is normal and no insulin!I have to get an electrolyte test done to see what is up w/this restless leg syndrome and if I have any deficiencies. Go back next tues and get group b strep test done. I hope to have a sitter or someone w/me. Konor will no longer stay in stroller and the straps on one side are stuck closed so I can't strap him in! He just rolls over and slides out the bottom. Then, in 2wks I get another u/s to check position and hopefully get another peek to see if a girl for sure! Oh, finally got shelves and stuff up in her room. Still need letter 'L' and want to paint them and hang on wall too. But yea, at least room is looking done/ready! I'm trying to make a "konor care list' for Todd and his mom if she stays w/us and put on fridge so I won't have to be bothered..lol... I'm really more nervous about leaving Konor overnite w/dh for a few days. I'm having confidence that she has turned tho.. I hope so! Todd has gone into 'nervous' mode. Nervous about c-section...surgery... the baby and NICU again. But since I'm keeping my sugars pretty level, I'm no longer worried and actually feeling pretty optomistic.

Aunt Betty Cooley passed away yesterday morning. I believe she was only 53. She had breast cancer yrs ago. We thought she was a 'survivor' but who is really? It came back last yr. About 2 wks ago she fell horribly ill, and cancer was back everywhere. Tried to go home, but was in too much pain and passed 2/20/05 in Allegheny Hosp.
Had a hard time falling asleep last nite. Thinking of mom and Kyla and all the others I know that recently passed. Oh I miss them..

Well, just been crazy round here last few days. I came down w/cold/flu sun nite. Felt horrible all day monday. Todd got home as soon as he could. Stayed home tues morn w/konor so I could go to OB check up. I lost 2 lbs.. Had bad contractions nite b4, some hurt real bad. Guess I was dehydrated, again...
Recently learned my Aunt Betty was put back in hosp Friday, in PGH. Cancer not in remission like they thought from summer/fall. But is back w/avengence. Heard she went home last nite, has a nurse @ house. They aren't giving her long. I have a card I'm sending up today. Missy is gonna try to go up Monday..
Konor is doing good, yapping away, too cute/funny, just wish we knewwhat he was saying! His 1st tooth is almost all the way thru now too.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY JUSTIN DAVID KINLEY!Today is Konor's lil cousin, Justin's bday!

Well, good news from dietician..NO INSULIN! I won't be needing to go back to her either. Seems I'm doing pretty good @ keeping my fasting #'s low enough and to just keep it up. Zily keeps moving up a storm, if she moved head down, she is back to where she was now. I really hope soon I find out if she has settled or not. But this being my 3rd, she may not settle until the very end. W/Kyla, she settled the last month or more in and it was very painful to walk... Konor was side ways or transverse and moved during labor so.. I just wish I knew when/if I was having a c-sect or induction so we could make plans for who is caring for Konor and when to get tickets for Todd's mom to fly down.

Weather had been nice last few days, sunny and 55-60 ish.. Got Konor's protraits back and will be sending them off to family/friends nxt week!(hopefully) I went and got a bunch of frames/mats and hung some more on photo wall and up in our room and a few in Konor's room.
Todd went dwn to MS to get Sarah and went to LA for wknd, should be back sometime today.

Konor's new fun game is giving "Eskimo Kisses!" Too cute. He gives big tight hugs now too and I just eat it up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SERENITY!
Been talking w/other moms that have GD on the 'boards' There are also quite a few of us that have it on my last wk of March board. I think I'm doing ok, but a girl who's #'s sound similar to mine is being put on insulin. I can't get mine down below 95 in the am but they are under 120 most of day after meals. Even if I think I'm doing ok, it can/will get worse as pregnancy progresses. I'm so saddened by it. I feel I eat healthy, but these snackings are hard to do. PB @ nite seems to be the best bedtime snack I've noticed. And I'm soo tired! My hip hurts worse today too. Maybe it's the rain. Tylonol does nothing. Tomorrow I go to my OB and Friday back to dietician @ Diabetes Center.Gonna ask about Glyburide, they talked about it, instead of insulin, but still in 'testing' stage, and not sure if they will allow it or not. Ugh...can't wait!

Konor has been VERY talkative today. He's been holding stuff up in air saying "Ta DAAA" and also said new word, "shoes" garbled, but I know it's what he said.
Also, he Stood Alone TWICE!! (but not for long)

Had Konor's one year check up this am. Konor did pretty good, poor guy. Got 3 shots, finger prick for iron and had to pee in a lil bag.. that was new to me. I really like my dr and the nurses. It is hard to believe I took Kyla to two other dr's. Neither ever sat/talked and listened to me. My friend still goes to the one and I keep telling her to try to get into mine. Anyway, everything looks good. I forget the %-tiles , I think like 25th for height, 50th weight and I know is 70th for head circum. He is: 29 1/4" and 21# 11oz He is a lil short, go figure, LOL! Kyla was only 27" @ her 1yr.
I got some samples of Calmoseptine ointment which is good for diaper rash and any other skin rash. Thinks he 'could' have a food sensitivity, but doubts it an allergy cos it'd be more severe.
He tried to sleep on way home, but awake and happy now.
