Happy Halloween! Though celebrated yesterday here. Konor woke @ his usual 7am, but is now 6am and light out. Don't see how a parent gets that extra hour. Todd is leaving for CO tomorrow and gains another hour though! We hope to fly out on the 20th or 21st to be w/him for his birthday (24th) and thanksgiving. I also have a friend from my baby board who lives out there I hope to meet in person!

Well, Konor is pulling up like a champ now and beginning to 'cruise' though he still can't sit back down, but did once last nite and was so proud of himself! I know he'll be walking b4 his 1st bday for sure! He is always on the go, and hard to change clothes, diaper or bathe. HE wants to stand in the tub, which makes me VERY nervous, so bath time has been cut very short.

Konor's 9month check-up went well. He is 28 1/4" and 19lbs 14oz. Doc says he's a lil advanced developmently, but who knows, lol.. They go by this denver chart thing you have to fill out until you get 3 'no's' Still kinda short, obviously, but like in the 50th %tile so, no biggy. Way bigger than Kyla was @ this age for sure! Only thing he had done was a tb test, no shots..

Konor took a great am nap, no fuss,no muss! Very active today and pulling up on ottomon a lot, and gets to a stand, but then mad, cos can't get back dwn.. won't stop though,lol.

Konor and I ended up sleeping over 2hrs yesterday afternoon. I got him to bed around 8 or so since he didn't wake until 5pm. He was all asleep on my chest, but as soon as I began to walk up the steps, he woke! Only cried for less than 5mins this time though! ;) And slept straight until 7am! :) I of course was a nervous panic around 5am cos didn't hear a peep all nite.. I hate that! He was so happy and playing in crib when he woke!

Well, the 1st nap went great, though, not a full hour. We went out did errands..Konor was in such a good mood and not the fuss bucket he's been! Which put me in good spirits too! Afternoon nap, different story...He started to fall asleep in my arms so I put him in crib and he of course woke..cried.. I got him and we lay together until we both end up falling asleep. Ok, I don't mind a nap so much cos I 'AM' pg, but I'm not getting anything done. I wish he slept a few hrs at a stretch like some babies, but noooo,lol! It rained hard again, and then sun came out. Warm again and getting warmer all wk, and I packed his summer shorts away! A/C is back on!
On to last night...Stick w/it they say? HA, I say!! I'm only in this two days and it's already STRESSING ME OUT!
Dh wants to stick to it too. But man the lil twerp woke a bunch last night! I had him sleepy around 6, was falling asleep w/bottle around 6:50, out by 7..then woke a few mins later, eyes wide open. Nipple (bottle) was clogged or something, so dh switched me out.. @ 7:25, I still had to pee and was almost time to eat for us. (dh cooked shrimp alfredo!) I put him to bed, he immediatly screamed b4 I could turn off light on music. This wasn't like him. He cried for over an hour. I checked on him @ 8:30 and he was out. Finally!
Wakes @ 1:30, I go in quick, like i normally do, put paci in mouth, andh e usually goes right back to sleep. But I don't know, maybe he thought, hey, she's not coming back and now I have to cry!? So, he did! I turn off monitor cos I can hear him plain as day anyway.. He cries off n on for awhile. Wakes again a few hrs later. And is up @ 5:30.. I tell dh, to hell w/this, bring him in. He 'normally' falls back asleep w/us. Not today! UGH. I am sooo tired. I'm putting him dwn @ 8:30 for a nap!!

I have activities planed when my bro comes, then he'll be staying here a few days..and nxt mo may go to CO, so that'll surely mess him up.
I worry about the future, but what about NOW!? I'm all ready to throw in the towel. I'm not getting anything done and I need to today/ tomorrow! I know I'm gonna go back to the old ways of winging it but hey, it makes us both happier for now.. I worry about when new baby comes and is he gonna be like Kyla @ two who wouldn't go to sleep until 10pm!! And crawl in our bed in am? I hope not!! She was always sooo good about sleep until about 18mos or so. Right now, I am just soo tired.. Gotta drink my decaf English Tea and make him some breakfast, then hopefully he'll nap. I gotta get the girls room cleaned up soon!!

Konor slept all nite! :) Woke around 6:30 and now, Well, by golly gee..LOL. IT WORKED! I got the room dark, and held Konor for a few mins..put him in crib, turned on music.. he immediatly began to wail..I told him, "nap time now" and walked out, closing door. Got in shower w/ BOTH doors closed for once. It was 9:08. Get out of shower, 9:21, silence!! I turn up monitor, nothing.. I tip toe in room to see if still alive and sure enough, there he was on his tummy hugging a stuffed bear, no paci, and sound asleep!! I don't expect it to last an hour, but hey, IT WORKED!! :)

Been reading this book, Healty Sleep Habits, HEalthy Child.
Managed to get konor to bed earlier, b4 7pm.. and he is out! :)

Slow morning. Todd took Sarah back to Birmingham to catch a bus back to MS to school.
Konor is into EVERYTHING now. We are working on gettnig a baby gate to attach to top of stairs. Right now, he can't climb them..yet.. And I set up the pack in play in the upstairs hallway so I can pee/shower, etc and he can be safe.
My brother and his wife, aka, Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Debby are coming down this coming Friday to visit. They will be staying w/Aunt Melissa for a few days, then here. Next month, Todd/daddy is going back to CO SPrings for work. I really want to go again too. This time it'll be colder and again, the cog train will be out of service, oh well. He'll be gone for like 3wks, so I hope we can go. I know a girl online that lives in CO, her son is few wks younger than KC.. I hope we get the chance to meet.
Then in late Dec Pappy is flying down to visit. So, I guess we will be busy for a bit! It is my friend Rachel and her family's turn to visit us from Atlanta, but she is traveling quite a bit lately too, so hopefully soon..

Well, Todd got a new/used car, from friend Bobbie yesterday. A Mitsubishi Eclipse. Ok, so not the mini van I need/want again, but this is great for him to drive to work instead of the truck. I'll hang on to my HOnda awhile longer. Esp since it is fixed, runs great, and has memories.

Konor is moving all over the place now! so, after running errand this am, we are putting up baby gates today!

Is crawling!! (sorta,lol) NO, he is really getting around now, up on all fours, either hands/knees or hands/feet. then he mostly pulls w/his arms and falls fwd, it is hilarious! I had to change the door lock on entertainment center and am now ordering diff locks for the kit cabinets cos ones we have Todd can't manuver, lol!
I made a cube out of the foam numbers, he thinks its funny too!

Got Todd dvd of Peru today in mail. It was only 21mins, but cool.

Today, two years ago, our sweet punky girl Kyla drown. I am lighting her candle every night until the 25th this month.

Daddy and Charles got the swingset together today! See new pics. Also, Konor has learned finally to get from his tummy into a sit position! He also likes to stand now too, but doesn't always do well pulling himself up..lol. Weather was beautiful today, low 80's. Can't wait till it cools more. Leaves haven't begun to change color yet.
